PAISLEY PIRATES   11         NORTH AYRSHIRE WILD   2     Pirates recorded another big win as they eventually overcame North Ayr with ease after a few uncomfortable moments early on.   They were on the board in just over a minute as Bain was first to reach a rebound to flick the puck behind Beveridge, to give his side the lead. In spite of having the bulk of the pressure, however, Pirates were level in the 9th minute as the visitors pounced on a loose puck in their own zone to break away at speed and net through Davidson to give …

Paisley Pirates’ Head Coach Ian Turley declared “business as usual” following his team’s 11-1 win over Moray Typhoons, the two points from which resulted in his side leap frogging Aberdeen Lynx and move up to third place in the Scottish National League   “We scored another win, and that helps build up momentum, but at this time it’s critical that we keep our sensible hats on and continue doing what we’re doing,” he said. “I know some people are looking at the league table and saying “well, if they do this, and we do that, then this could happen,” but …

Pirates had the bulk of the …

MORAY TYPHOONS   1       PAISLEY PIRATES   7     After several under par performances in recent weeks, Pirates returned to form with an excellent away win in Elgin, overcoming the Typhoons comfortably to record a 7-1 victory.   Pirates were penalised after only nine seconds as Thorp took a trip to the penalty box with his opposite number Millar but as they came back onto the ice, Munro for the home side took another minor and Pirates scored immediately through Henderson to take the lead. It got better for Pirates as with only 5 minutes on the clock the same player …

Paisley Pirates take to the road again this weekend as they make the long trip to Elgin where they will face the Moray Typhoons on league business, after a weekend which saw them overcoming North Ayrshire Wild 3-2 in Ardrossan to qualify 11-2 on aggregate for the Scottish Cup semi finals, the third year in succession that the club has made it to that stage in the competition.   Head Coach Ian Turley was in reflective mood after an eventful weekend which saw Pirates recover from a two goal deficit at the halfway point, to come back strongly and take …
