Paisley Pirates return to action after a few weeks off, and it’s another very important weekend for them as they take on North Ayrshire Wild over two legs, to determine who will qualify for a place in the playoff finals weekend on 8 and 9 April, when the four qualifiers will battle it out for the right to be names playoff champions. Paisley Pirates are celebrating their second award in as many weeks. At the Lord Provost’s prestigious Community Awards Ceremony held at a packed Normandy Hotel, Renfrew, on Friday night, Club Secretary Jackie Turley picked up the award for Sporting Achievement of the Year, in an event held to celebrate the voluntary work done by many volunteers working within the local community, and in spite of the very high standard of opposition from many other nominees also put forward..
