Paisley Pirates fans, starved of seeing their favourite team in action for over four months, have been handed a pre-season boost with the news that the team will be in action a week before their official league campaign gets under way.   Pirates will travel to Dumfries next Sunday (4 September), following an invitation from the Solway Sharks, to take on their Northern Ice Hockey League side in a pre-season challenge, a match which coach Ian Turley is already looking forward to.   “We’ve managed to get in some valuable training time at Kilmarnock recently, and this match will mean …

Paisley Pirates have added to their cup winning squad by announcing the signing of two up and coming youngsters for the coming SNL season.   “I’m absolutely delighted that Dean Hamilton and Euan McLaughlin have committed to the club for the forthcoming season,” he said.
